Self-Mastery

You are required to complete – at minimum - one Pilates 'workout' every week for the duration of your Course or Pathway. The style of which (Mat/Reformer/Studio) is determined by your current area of study.

You are welcome, and encouraged, to do more! More Pilates is always better.

Self-Mastery must be documented in your Logbook throughout your Course - these can be signed off (initialled) by the Instructor who took the class, your Supervisor(s) or yourself.

What role does Self-Mastery play in your Coursework?
The idea is to be mindful of how the Coursework (theory) and the repertoire you are studying appears in the Pilates classes you attend for Self-Mastery.

E.g. while studying the Fundamentals, consider how and where the repertoire and principles are incorporated in your workouts.

Where you can complete Self-Mastery?

  • Any Studio of your choosing. It does not have to be within the Pilates ITC network, however, the class/session completed must be specific to your area of study.

  • Your Pilates ITC Instructor Training Studio.

  • Any Studio within the Pilates ITC Work Placement network.
