Pilates Association Policy
Purpose
This policy outlines your opportunities to engage with key professional bodies in the Pilates industry— AusActive and Pilates Association Australia (PAA)—and highlights the value of membership and ongoing professional development through Continuing Education. We’re proud to be affiliated with these organisations and want you to feel empowered to take full advantage of what they offer.
Definitions
PAA (Pilates Association Australia): The peak regulatory body for the Australasian Pilates industry, committed to maintaining quality and integrity across all approaches to the Pilates Method.
AusActive: Australia’s leading health and fitness industry association, supporting professionals through standards, education, and advocacy.
Continuing Education (CE): Ongoing learning opportunities designed to support your growth as a Pilates professional beyond initial qualification.
CEC/PDP: Continuing Education Credits/Professional Development Points awarded for participation in approved CE activities.
Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to all Pilates ITC Students, Graduates, and Educators enrolled in our nationally accredited Courses and Professional Instruction Pathways.
Your Pathway to Professional Membership
As a Pilates ITC Student, you’re eligible for Student Membership with both and AusActive and PAA. These memberships connect you with the broader Pilates and fitness communities, provide access to resources, and support your professional credibility.
AusActive: Pilates ITC is proud to be an AusActive-approved education provider, and our qualifications are mapped to their professional registration pathways. Membership with AusActive gives you access to industry guidelines, networking opportunities, and recognition as a qualified Pilates professional. Pilates Association Australia (PAA): PAA sets the benchmark for Pilates education and practice in Australasia. As a Pilates ITC Student, you can access discounted Student Membership rates. To claim your discount, email administration@pilatesitc.edu.au for our exclusive code.
Continuing Education: Always Learning, In All Ways
Your journey doesn’t end with graduation—it’s just the beginning! Pilates ITC offers Continuing Education Events across Australia and online, designed to deepen your knowledge, expand your skillset, and keep you connected to the latest in movement science and industry trends.
CE events are open to Students, Graduates, and Educators.
You may earn CEC/PDP points compatible with PAA and AusActive registration where applicable to events are held.
Topics range from specialised conditions to advanced repertoire and teaching strategies.
