About Observation
Observation is an opportunity to watch and learn with purpose. These hours are about observing practical application of the Pilates ITC course content. Your observation activities should be couched within the Coursework, with special attention to observing the Pilates ITC repertoire (outlined in your Repertoire Manuals), as this is what you will ultimately be assessed on.
Add depth to your learning by seeing how the Pilates ITC Coursework unfolds in a real Studio environment. Be inspired as you watch qualified Instructors lead group classes and private or semi-private sessions.
As you observe, consider and reflect on the essential practical elements that shape an effective class:
Programming
Repertoire
Communication styles
Cueing
Group/client management
Safety and more.
Use these observations to inform and consolidate your own teaching practice and study. To support your reflection, you may also download Observation Worksheets to guide your note-taking.
These worksheets are not for assessment, but they serve as a valuable study aid to help you make the most of your observation experience.
