Transition of Training Products Policy and Procedure

Edited

Purpose

At Pilates ITC, we’re committed to making sure your qualifications reflect current industry skills and expectations. This policy outlines how we manage changes to training packages—such as when qualifications are superseded or deleted—so you experience a smooth transition and graduate with nationally recognised qualifications that meet today’s standards. We follow clear procedures to stay compliant with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and ASQA guidance and to keep your learning journey on track.

Definitions

  • Superseded Training Product – A qualification, unit, or skill set that has been replaced by a newer version

  • Deleted Training Product – A training product removed from the national register without a direct replacement

  • Transition Period – The timeframe allowed to continue delivering a superseded product before fully moving to the updated version

  • Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) – A document that outlines how training and assessment will be delivered for each qualification

Who This Policy Applies To

  • All current training products listed on Pilates ITC’s scope of registration

  • Students enrolled in qualifications or units that are superseded, expired, or deleted

  • Pilates ITC staff who manage course transitions and updates

Pilates ITC are directly involved in any updates. Our accreditation is reviewed every 5-7 years.

Adding New Training Products to Scope

  • If a training product is deemed equivalent, it will be automatically added to our scope

  • For non-equivalent products, we’ll apply directly to ASQA to update our scope accordingly

Transition Period Requirements

To ensure compliance and continuity:

  • Students currently studying at Pilates ITC will will have 24 months from date of accreditation to transition from superseded qualifications, units, or skill sets. You will be notified if this effects you.

  • If a qualification is deleted without a replacement, we follow a 24-month transition period.

During the transition, Pilates ITC will:

  • Complete training and assessment for students already enrolled in the superseded product

  • Issue AQF documentation for the superseded qualification

  • Transfer continuing students to the updated product where appropriate

Student Communication

If your course is affected by changes, we’ll notify you in writing. We’ll clearly explain:

  • What’s changing

  • Whether you can complete your current course or need to transition

  • Any new requirements, timelines, or additional fees

Reviewing Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS)

We’ll update our TAS to reflect changes in training products, including:

  • Delivery method adjustments

  • Updated assessment tools
