Transition of Training Products Policy and Procedure
Purpose
At Pilates ITC, we’re committed to making sure your qualifications reflect current industry skills and expectations. This policy outlines how we manage changes to training packages—such as when qualifications are superseded or deleted—so you experience a smooth transition and graduate with nationally recognised qualifications that meet today’s standards. We follow clear procedures to stay compliant with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and ASQA guidance and to keep your learning journey on track.
Definitions
Superseded Training Product – A qualification, unit, or skill set that has been replaced by a newer version
Deleted Training Product – A training product removed from the national register without a direct replacement
Transition Period – The timeframe allowed to continue delivering a superseded product before fully moving to the updated version
Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) – A document that outlines how training and assessment will be delivered for each qualification
Who This Policy Applies To
All current training products listed on Pilates ITC’s scope of registration
Students enrolled in qualifications or units that are superseded, expired, or deleted
Pilates ITC staff who manage course transitions and updates
Our Policy
Monitoring Training Package Updates
Pilates ITC are directly involved in any updates. Our accreditation is reviewed every 5-7 years.
Adding New Training Products to Scope
If a training product is deemed equivalent, it will be automatically added to our scope
For non-equivalent products, we’ll apply directly to ASQA to update our scope accordingly
Transition Period Requirements
To ensure compliance and continuity:
Students currently studying at Pilates ITC will will have 24 months from date of accreditation to transition from superseded qualifications, units, or skill sets. You will be notified if this effects you.
If a qualification is deleted without a replacement, we follow a 24-month transition period.
During the transition, Pilates ITC will:
Complete training and assessment for students already enrolled in the superseded product
Issue AQF documentation for the superseded qualification
Transfer continuing students to the updated product where appropriate
Student Communication
If your course is affected by changes, we’ll notify you in writing. We’ll clearly explain:
What’s changing
Whether you can complete your current course or need to transition
Any new requirements, timelines, or additional fees
Reviewing Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS)
We’ll update our TAS to reflect changes in training products, including:
Delivery method adjustments
Updated assessment tools
Unit mapping to ensure alignment with new competency requirements
Record-Keeping
We’ll maintain complete records of:
Students currently enrolled in superseded training products
Transition actions and outcomes
All issued certification documentation (for either superseded or new training products)

Compliance
This policy complies with:
Clause 1.26 of the Standards for RTOs 2025: Managing the transition from superseded training products in a timely and compliant manner.
Clause 1.27 of the Standards for RTOs 2025: Ensuring students are either completed or transferred within the designated transition period.
ASQA Guidelines: Maintaining quality outcomes and regulatory compliance through structured transition planning.
