Unique Student Identifier (USI) Policy

At Pilates ITC, it’s important to us that you can track your learning and receive your certification with ease and confidence. This policy ensures that we meet our obligations under the Student Identifiers Act 2014 and the Standards for RTOs 2025 by guiding you through the application, validation, record-keeping, and confidentiality of Unique Student Identifiers (USIs). By having a valid USI, you’ll be able to enrol in your course and receive nationally recognised qualifications.

• Unique Student Identifier (USI) – A 10-character reference number issued by the Australian Government to track all your nationally recognised training across your lifetime

• Student Management System (SMS) – The secure platform used by Pilates ITC to manage student enrolments, records, and certifications

• Statements of Attainment (SoA) – Official records that confirm you’ve successfully completed one or more units of competency within a qualification

• All Pilates ITC students (including Australian and international) who are enrolling in nationally recognised training

• Pilates ITC staff responsible for managing and verifying student USIs

• Our Student Support Team, who assist you with your USI application and ensure records are managed securely

To complete your enrolment in a nationally recognised course, you must provide a valid USI. You can apply through the official Australian Government USI website at www.usi.gov.au.

Your USI gives you access to a secure online record of all your accredited training in Australia. Without it, we can’t issue your Certificate or Statement of Attainment, unless you qualify for an exemption under the Student Identifiers Act 2014. If that applies to you, we’ll explain what it means for your training record.

We’ll validate your USI during enrolment. If something doesn’t check out, we’ll be in touch quickly so you can resolve it.

We treat your USI as confidential information. It’s stored securely in our Student Management System and accessed only by authorised staff for enrolment and certification purposes. We also ensure we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant ASQA guidelines to protect your data.

Once your USI is received, it will be added securely to your student profile. We’ll never use it for anything outside of required training and certification processes.
