Our Team Code of Practice
Purpose
The Code of Practice (‘Code’) is one of the important tools we have to help you understand and apply the practical ways in which we achieve our Values and uphold our ethical principles. It is underpinned by, and supports, all our Values — directly and indirectly.
Definitions
Code of Practice (Code): A guiding framework that outlines behaviour, responsibilities, and ethical standards expected of anyone working with Pilates ITC.
Values: The foundational principles that inform our actions and culture at Pilates ITC: Belonging | Determination | Consciousness | Quality | Respect | Heritage
Who the Policy Applies To
This Code applies to anyone engaging or performing work in connection with Pilates International Training Centre (the “Company”), including:
Employees (whether employed directly by the Company or an associated entity)
Contractors
Volunteers

1. Our Culture
We conduct ourselves in line with our Values to foster a supportive and nurturing environment by:
Respecting individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and legal decision-making
Listening authentically, following through with commitments, and taking proactive action
Taking all reasonable steps to prevent discrimination, harassment, bullying, violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse
Observing OH&S rules and responsibilities
Communicating respectfully and collaboratively, including on social media
2. Our Students
Our approach is always guided by the best interests of both current and prospective students. This includes:
Supporting informed decision-making through accurate course advice
Raising and responding to concerns that impact student wellbeing, quality, or safety — even when we’re not present
Maintaining professional, inclusive communication
Treating all students with equal respect, regardless of fitness level or ability
Maintaining competence, qualifications, and embracing ongoing training
3. Professional Behaviour
We uphold a high standard of integrity, transparency, and professionalism by:
Representing the Company’s interests
Recognising and disclosing conflicts of interest
Avoiding the exchange of gifts or money that could influence decisions
Ensuring only authorised persons speak or act on behalf of the Company
4. Quality Education
Our Educators are entrusted with delivering a consistent and empowering learning experience through:
Maintaining professional boundaries and trust
Providing all students with the tools, encouragement, and support to grow
Avoiding bias or favouritism and recognising when to refer students to others
Using physical touch respectfully and responsibly in class settings
Encouraging student autonomy in their training choices
Ensuring consistency, clarity, and competency in all teaching practices
5. Maintaining Health and Wellbeing
We prioritise our own wellbeing as part of our professional responsibility, by:
Role-modelling healthy body image and exercise practices
Engaging only in activities suitable for our personal capability and training level
Managing fatigue to maintain safe and effective performance
Seeking medical advice for any condition that may impact safety or wellbeing
Breaches of the Code
Any breach or suspected breach must be reported immediately to a manager, supervisor, or Director. Disciplinary action may follow, including termination of employment or engagement, depending on the severity. Anyone who raises concerns in good faith will be supported and protected under our policies, with confidentiality and timeliness prioritised.

Compliance
This Code of Practice supports compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025, specifically:
Standard 2 – Quality Training and Assessment Clause 2.4 – The provider’s staff adhere to a code of conduct that promotes professionalism, integrity, and respect in all dealings with students and stakeholders.
