Edited

Purpose

Your safety and wellbeing matter to us. At Pilates ITC, we’re committed to creating a secure, respectful, and supportive environment for every student, visitor, and team member. This policy outlines how we maintain safe physical spaces for learning and Work Placement, how we support mental wellbeing, and how we remain compliant with the Standards for RTOs 2025, ASQA guidelines, and Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation.

Definitions

  • Work Health and Safety (WHS) – The legal framework that helps keep Australian workplaces safe and free from harm

  • Work Placement Studio (WPS) – A Pilates studio affiliated with Pilates ITC where you complete the practical components of your training

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedures – Clear instructions to follow in the event of an emergency at any Pilates ITC or Work Placement location

Who This Policy Applies To

  • All students, staff, and visitors at Pilates ITC

  • All learning environments including Pilates ITC venues, online learning spaces, and affiliated Work Placement Studios (WPS)

Our Policy

Physical Safety at Pilates ITC and Work Placements

Your safety is our priority, and we take proactive steps to ensure you’re protected while studying.

  • Where applicable, Pilates ITC conducts risk assessments to ensure facilities meet WHS obligations

  • Each Work Placement Studio (WPS) is required to:

    • Provide a copy of their Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance

  • As a student placed at a WPS:

    • You are covered under both the Pilates ITC insurance and the WPS’s insurance for all placement-related activities

  • We recommend locating and reviewing emergency evacuation information at your placement site as soon as you begin

We understand that life can sometimes present challenges that impact your focus and energy. Our Student Support Team is here to walk beside you when that happens—with empathy and encouragement.

That said, please note that our team are not trained counsellors. We’re here to support you academically and logistically, but we’re not qualified to provide counselling, personal advice, or financial guidance.
