About Work Placement Supervisors
Don't let the title deter you, think of your Work Placement Supervisors as your "approver": their job is to authenticate (rubber stamp/sign off) your Work Placement hours.
When you select a government accredited Course or Pathway, you enjoy quality assurance in the educational product you have purchased. Quality in curriculum and resources (what you learn); delivery (how you learn it); and professional outcomes (what you can do with it).
The WP Supervisor is a compliance measure that exists to safeguard quality in your learning processes.
Students are required to have one or more Supervisors for the duration Work Placement activities.
You may have, for example: a Matwork Supervisor, Reformer Supervisor, Studio Supervisor. OR multiple for each Pathway. A Supervisor at one of your Work Placement sites, and another at your Instructor Training Studio.
While it is best to confirm your Supervisor(s) before you get into WP - purely from an organisational point - you can change or add Supervisors to your mix at any point in your studies.
The Supervisor role is also voluntary.
It is important for Students to conduct themselves professionally, respect the scope of the arrangement and not make disproportionate demands of their Supervisors' time and attention.
