At Pilates ITC, we want to support your success by making sure online learning is structured, transparent, and achievable. This Course Duration Policy outlines the timeframes you’re given to complete your course, helping ensure high-quality outcomes in line with ASQA guidelines and the Standards for RTOs 2025.


Definitions

  • (A) = Accredited course leading to a nationally recognised qualification

  • (NonA) = Non-Accredited course delivered for professional development or personal interest

  • Extensions Policy: The procedure outlining how to apply for additional time beyond the standard course duration

  • LMS (Learning Management System): The online platform where your learning activities, assessments, and progress are managed

  • Fees Schedule: The document outlining additional fees that may apply, including course extension costs


Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to:

  • You, if you're enrolled in any online Accredited (A) or Non-Accredited (NonA) course with Pilates ITC.

  • Our Educators and Staff who support your progress and manage your course timelines.

  • Our Management team, who ensure compliance with policy and fair administration of extensions.

The maximum timeframes for each course are:

Our Commitments

  • You'll need to complete your course within the timeframe listed above to be eligible for certification.

  • If unexpected circumstances arise, you may apply for an extension—please refer to the Extension Policy.

  • Any approved extension will incur additional fees, as outlined in the Fees Schedule.


Our Policy

Supporting your Progress

  • To help you navigate your learning journey, we recommend reviewing the Workflow document located in the Course Workflow module of your Learning Management System (LMS).

    • Blended students: This document outlines your study progression aligned with your in-person timetable.

    • Online students: Use the Workflow to understand the recommended sequence of learning activities and assessments in the LMS.

    It’s your roadmap—be sure to check it regularly as you move through your course.

  • Supportive Reminders We’re here to help you stay on track throughout your learning journey.

    • Blended students: You’ll receive reminders as your in-person course delivery or teaching clinic days approach.

    • Online students: We’ll check in with you via email at key points to see how you’re going and offer support as needed.

    • Course completion: As you near the end of your course timeframe, our Student Support Team will reach out with guidance and options to help you complete successfully.

    • Clause 1.1–1.3: Online training strategies must support competency outcomes

    • Clause 1.7: You have equitable access to learning tools and support

    • Clause 1.8: Assessment remains valid, fair, and appropriate to online learning

  • Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF): Maintaining expectations around complexity, duration, and outcomes
